Event Details

Join Chef Raul Morales of Taqueria Vista Hermosa to learn how to prepare a traditional Day of the Dead Menu from Michoacan.  Get hands on experience and enjoy the meal after class.

 

The menu will include Corundas (steamed tamales from Michoacan wrapped in a type of fresh corn leaf) Frijoles Puercos (pinto beans stewed with onion, garlic, and bacon), Morisqueta (rice cooked and served with a sauce of tomatoes, onions, garlic), Nopal Asado (grilled cactus), Ensalada De Nopal (cactus salad with tender cactus stalk, prepared with pico de gallo. Decorated with fresh cheese and roasted chile de arbol with a touch of oregano), Camote Tatemado (Yam baked and sweetened with honey), Agua de Alfalfa (fresh alfalfa leaf and pineapple sweetened with honey),Agua de Pepino (cucumber water with fresh lemon squeezed, salt, honey and chile blended craftfully).
